Wisconsin Waters Wanderings - 2007
Zoe has really only seen her home state of Wisconsin through the rear-view
mirror as we came and went to other states during our past road trips.
This year we decided to vacation in our home state. Wisconsin is mostly
surrounded on three sides by water (Mississippi River, Lake Superior,
Lake Michigan) so that is the focus of this trip.
Obligatory start-of-trip self portrait

A quick stop at Natural Bridge State Park
(Between Baraboo and Richland Center)

Zoe decides a drink of water is needed the old fashion way.

Dad patiently(?) waiting.

We followed the Wisconsin River west until we reached the Mississippi River.
Then we followed the Mississippi north.
Here we watched the barges locking through.

Up to Superior and across to Bayfield.
(Bayfield has way too many people in too small a space so we stayed in Washburn.)

From there, Zoe just HAD to stop in Butternut.

On to Door County-
We stopped at an inn in Sturgeon Bay.
