Florida Keys - 2006

(continued - 3)

Key West
That's as far south as we can drive.

Never did get used to the pink taxis.

That ain't no pink Cadillac

But, we weren't as far south as you could get, so
we took a high speed catamaran 80 miles further
south to Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas.

The fort is huge and has an interesting history-

Air boat through the Everglades was pretty cool.  Incredibly loud, but cool.

Airboat

We saw quite a few small alligators.

Gatot

And even  a large one that snuck up on Zoe and scared the crap out of her.
That is her climbing over the seats in front of her.
(In the white in the bottom left of the picture.)

No trip to Florida is complete without a trip to Disney World
where we kicked back for three days.
We had never been to MGM Studios, so it was a first.

An Illusion

I still haven't seen the movie Cars (even though we have the DVD.)

Disney's action displays are some of the best!

The light pole from Narnia.
(You never know what you will see at Disney.)

We HAD to make a stop at the House of Blues over at Main Street Disney.

No blues show that night so we went to an outdoor concert in Epcot instead.

Say goodbye to Disney.
Time to head home.

Say Goodbye!
